Just about perfect

I wear shorts and short pants almost exclusively year around - have dozens of pairs but regularly wear about 10. After trying out these STAAS shorts, they will be in my regular rotation. The quality, design, fit and utility all score high. The waist band is wide and comfortable, the sheer fabric in the crotch keeps you ventilated and the length is just right for an active lifestyle. I’ve walked and run with my dog for several miles, worked out at the gym and ran errands while wearing them. The pockets hold everything in place even while running. These shorts even have a compact external waistband pocket to hold an earbud case or a fob. I don’t prefer liners but the liner in the STAAS is very comfortable while not being too long. The back pocket could use some type of fastener to hold a wallet more securely and/or the vault pocket could be larger. All in all, a great pair of shorts. I’m looking forward to future STAAS offerings.

Hi there to whom it may concern. I recently purchased the white and black shorts and wore both in consecutive days. I was pleasantly impressed with the comfort of these shorts! However I put them both in the wash and upon retrieving them both drawstrings were pulled out. I find that very annoying and im disappointed.

We've noted the drawstring issue as a common point of concern. I'm pleased to inform you that we've already made several improvements to the Mentality Short in our upcoming production cycle, including modifications to the drawstring and waistband to prevent it from slipping out.

In the meantime, you might consider re-threading the drawstring, though I understand this is extremely frustrating. Personally, I often tie the strings into a quick bow before washing to keep them secure.
